• Mrs Dowson’s Ice Cream

From humble beginnings years ago when we created the first few pots of vanilla ice cream on the family farm, we have been focused on creating a quality product with honest ingredients. Our approach is based on using ‘the real thing’ instead of artificial flavourings to create a product that tastes great. As a family, we are all ice cream fanatics and we all have an input when developing new flavours. We enjoy playing around with new flavours and ingredients, and we enjoy eating what we produce. Also we avoid any short-cuts.

  • Porcus

Porcus Porcus is a small farm business nestling on the moors above the incredible food town of Todmorden in the South Pennines. Our traditional rare breed pigs are raised outdoors to the highest welfare standards, just as nature intended. They’re happy, healthy and active as they range freely around our fields: because we raise them for longer, they’re fit as fiddles and fantastically flavoursome! We produce a range of wonderful homemade pork products using traditional methods: our renowned artisan sausages, the most incredible traditional dry-cure bacon, and of course our ultimate hog roast! You can find us at farmer’s markets, shows and events around the North…

  • Pretzel & Spelt

We Bavarians have a rich inheritance of really delicious cakes. Traditional home-baking is very popular and Sundays never passed without a nice cake in the afternoon, when I was little. Loads of them are made with nuts or quark (fromage blanc), nut creams, marzipan and poppy. So expect sweet surprises! Most of the recipes have been passed straight down in my family, and because Austria and Swiss are very appreciated neighbours in our Alpine region there are also some famous cakes and bakes from these countries.

  • Procter’s Cheeses

The Procter family first made cheese in the picturesque village of Chipping in the 1930s. Chipping is a well-known tourist attraction set in the heart of North West England’s Ribble Valley with tiny cottages and narrow cobbled streets. Our small farms have lush pasture, producing excellent milk for cheese making. Procter’s purpose built factory on the outskirts of the village has modern refrigeration, packing, and warehousing, offering the most up to date facilities for the storage and maturing of quality cheeses.
