Grasmere Gingerbread was invented by the Victorian cook Sarah Nelson in 1854. A unique, spicy-sweet cross between a biscuit and cake, its reputation quickly spread and is now enjoyed by food lovers all over the world. It can be enjoyed by you at this year’s festival! The Grasmere Gingerbread shop will also be selling their award-winning rum butter and a variety of other ginger-themed foodstuffs.
