Are the usual shops and Market Stalls open on the day of the festival?
We have a thriving market with over 40 cabins providing a variety of locally sourced food, dry goods, clothes, plants and much more.
The town centre has a wide range of specialist shops as well as a few high street favourites. We work closely with the local chamber of trade to showcase what Clitheroe has to offer and the market traders and businesses look forward to welcoming you to Clitheroe on food festival day.

Is accessibility good?
The event takes place largely on the streets and pavements of the town. The venues for all the demonstrations and tastings are accessible. There is a gradual rise from the market to Castle Street along the road, but it is not too severe.

Is there security for the event?
We have stewards in high viz tops and registered SIA (Security Industry Authority) staff located throughout the festival for everyone’s protection and security.
